From what I've read Adrian met the band in 1979, toured with them in the early 1980s (see The Name of This Band...), and, of course, played on Remain in Light. His involvement with the band is also how he met Fripp/became a member of King Crimson.

Yeah, I knew it was a long shot with the headliners. Also....if this were the line up Jason Boesel would be playing every day. So no Rilo Kiley or COMVB but I wanted to throw in some that would be an incredible dream.

i think the thing that makes a great fake the most, and also can be the thing that makes a fake poster look awful, is placement. very few seem to get anywhere near right.

considering artist placement is subjective, and even changes after the lineup comes out, how could anyone accurately predict it?

Both fixed. I'm putting Chili Peppers as the Sunday headliner now. It's been 6 years, I think they could headline again. I'm so stumped with the headliners this year. The only thing I know for sure is that Daft Punk won't be there.

I hope Blur is there, but for some reason I just don't see them at Coachella this year. I know they're at Vive Latino shortly before, but I just have a feeling they won't come back for Chella.

Honestly I think RHCP can and will be the first 3-peat. Radiohead has to wait another 5 years minimum and RATM hate each other.

That leaves Bjork, RHCP, and The Cure. Of those, I really think RHCP are the most likely. They're based out of Southern California, have the most radio play of the 3, recently released a new album, and have the largest name recognition in the US. Tool shared the top billing in 1999, so i'm not sure if I consider that headlining. But even if I do I don't see them coming back for a while.
