Yeah because all of you assholes were so quick to jump at the bit and none of you know how to slowly let this develop into something actually worthwhile.

    Orbital - Wonky

Wonky is far from being wonky because it actually is a pretty good album. I don't have much a background with edm or Orbital but to me this is some fun music. I feel like I am listening to the score of a video game, but at the same time I want to get down with my bad self. Good beats and the album flows together well. I really like Straight Sun because it gives off sexy vibes, but I think every song could be danced to. Wonky is definitely stronger than most electronic music released today that I have heard .

    My rating: 8

I don't often listen to EDM, but when I do, it's from a place of authority.

To be fair, if he doesn't listen to much EDM his only exposure to is is probably things like David Guetta and Swedish House Mafia, so even though it's a hyperbolic statement, I get where he's coming from. Sometimes all someone needs to get into a genre they're uncomfortable with is a few good suggestions, so this thread just might make a fan out of theklein25.

A simple bit of re-phrasing would help exponentially. "Wonky is definitely stronger than most high profile commercial EDM I've heard lately." Instead of "I don't really know much about this genre, but this is better than almost all of it."

Besides I thought this was a thread about making fun of people. Do we get to have those any more? Or does our collective conscience have to killjoy everything?

Although I would give the album a 10, I thought that was a strong review. The way I see it, Daft Punk is the god of edm, while Orbital is the king of edm.

Kriss Kross - Totally Krossed Out
I think the title of this record explains it all because after I was finished with this album I was exhausted. It felt like they said their duo name and record name in each song which became repetitive. However for some young teenagers they were at least somewhat talented and had some catchy beats. I definitely think they are over rated though.

Who said they were good in the first place to make you think they're over rated?

    This was my question too.

When suggestions are open again, someone should suggest Fever Ray. Or, I guess, Sugar Ray, but that wouldn't be quite as good.

He's not saying that they're overrated, he's saying that they are over (space) rated.

Please review Crazy Town - The Gift Of Game. You do not have to assign a spirit animal to this album.

To be fair, Sigur Ros begs to be given a spirit animal. Jacob told me when he first heard them they sounded like the sad lament of a lonely penguin. (sorry if a day late on this)

But clearly, were he to assign a spirit animal, it'd be a butterfly. Amirite?

On first blush, that seems like the right answer. But that's merely what they desire. The spirit of the band itself is an entirely different thing. They're more like a sensual panther who doesn't play by anyone's rules but its own, and has really bitchin' facial piercings.
