    Default Water Filling Station

I haven't been since 2010, are they still doing the $12 refillable water bottle? That tent was such a nice place to take a breather, it felt so aquatic inside.

In the venue? You can bringing our own water bottle and fill it for free. No purchase necessary. And it's just an area with a bunch of water faucets. Not in a tent.

2010 was my first year and those refillable water bottles were amazing. Unfortunately they don't do that anymore and your only option to refill a water bottle are the water faucets located semi haphazardly around the festival grounds.

Assuming it's hot all day unlike W1 last year, at $2 a pop, you can easily spend almost $100 Thursday afternoon - Monday morning. Some people would rather spend that $100 on something else.

I guess if you're poor $100 is a big deal. My advice is to get a better job or ask mommy for more money.

this can surely only be true if you bring 0 bottles of water with you.

i bought maybe 3 the entire weekend.

There's also the whole "I don't want to kill the environment with wasteful plastic when there is perfectly good water available to refill my personal water bottle." And of course, you can then have a sweet water bottle that can hook to your belt or a camelbak that stays cool. But hey, if you like wasting your money on one of the few things they give out for free at Coachella, go right ahead. Personally, I work hard for my money and would much rather spend it on alcohol.

If you aren't bringing water in with you and you are only buying 3 bottles of water all weekend, you must be pretty dehydrated. Last year Weekend 2 Saturday, people were buying them in multiples every couple of hours. When it gets to be 106F and you're dancing in those tents, you need the hydration.

Then again, if you guys want to waste your money on the water, I'm totally fine with that. Less people in line so I get my free water faster.

Thats the thing. If the lines weren't so long i would use the faucets. Too much shit to do for $2 to seem like a big deal to me.

I do agree that the line length during the heat of the day can get long, but I try to go early in the day to avoid those lines and having a larger water botte (or two) helps. However, the lines for ALL water (both bottled to purchase and fill stations) got really long Weekend 2 last year. And a lot of ran out of ice because of the heat, so you were just getting warm water anyways.

I also like to think that every water bottle NOT purchased is one less water bottle left on the polo fields for me to trip on.

The sweet spot was the refill station on the path between the big food court and the back of the Sahara area. No lines all weekend, even when the ones in between the Sahara and Mojave were packed.

It's 300,000 empty bottles every festival weekend. For no reason, really.

Public Service Announcement: THis goes out to all the boys and girls of coachella town. You can call someone an idiot, all the while littering yuor posts with poor english.

if you said this out lound, in a room, you would be branded the idiot. you know it's true. if you don't, well, case closed.

anyway, shutting the fuck up is preferable.
