I could write a long-winded explanation, but I think you can figure them out based on their choice of album cover:

I do alphabetical half-way through the year:

    Beach House - Bloom
    Chairlift - Something
    Chromatics - Kill for Love
Cloud Nothings - Attack on Memory
    Japandroids - Celebration Rock
    Liars - WIXIW
Lotus Plaza – Spooky Action at a Distance
The Men - Open Your Heart
Spiritualized - Sweet Heart Sweet Light
    Tanlines - Mixed Emotions

I've only had the Walkmen and Sigur Ros for a week now . . . still need to track down a copy of that Screaming Females record.

It's a tossup between Chromatics and Japandroids for my absolute favorite so far. Two very different records by acts that emphasize very differing aspects of my taste.

I've listened to the Grimes album more than anything else released this year, but I probably wouldn't put it near #1 for the year. I've liked a lot more albums this year so far than in the past couple, but I need to absorb them all for at least another month to begin ranking them.
