I have heard that Coachella reserves some tickets for the locals? If this is true how do i find out more about this and what to do?

I got them last year....just wait for the announcement. Last year people started lining up the night before...it was ONLY if you had a DL with an address in Indio, Coachella or La Quinta. They verify address before you buy...and upon pick up must be the exact same person with same DL...they put the wristband on your arm (2 days before the fest) and off you go.
They'll be doing the same thing this year...it's in the agreement with the city council.

My ID still has my LQ address, probably will never change it to my Santa Monica address because of these local tickets. The first set of tickets were only for people East of Washington, I got there at about four in the morning and got out by noon. They released tickets for the whole Coachella valley, Palm Springs to Salton Sea the second week of the festival.
