Coming From the uk to coachella.. for both weekends on my own!

Hey Everyone!! my name is Jemima, im coming from the uk for next years festival. I have been to many festivals in the uk, so kinda know the drill.. just a few questions...

1) is there a a certain amount of beer/alcohol can you bring? can you take it around the festival??

2) best and Cheapest place to buy a tent? i would have been travelling for two months till i get there i wont be able to bring my own.

5) if food expensive?? can we bring as much as we like??

4) could i tag along with anyone?

A case of beer per person. That's not much for three days so a lot of people find creative ways to bring the harder stuff. And the search for any items that are not approved can be extensive. Some of the people doing the searching are thorough, some of them not so much. Check the FAQ section. It's quite detailed.

One case of beer per person in the campgrounds - but this is a pretty loose rule. I usually bring in some vodka (in water bottles) - my neighbors brought in a bunch of rum in Snapple Iced Tea bottles. You can't take it into the festival, but there are beer gardens inside that sell expensive beers and cocktails.

Walmart / Target / Sports Authority - lots of the big chain stores sell tents fairly cheap.

5) if food expensive?? can we bring as much as we like??

Food inside the festival is about average price - and most of it is pretty good. You can bring as much food as you like into the campgrounds. There are also some food trucks and stands in the campgrounds.

It's a really friendly crowd - I'm sure you can connect with someone!

One case of beer per person in the campgrounds BUT! there is a free shuttle that goes to the grocery store and you can leave and buy more alcohol if you need to. But they will only let you bring one case per person back on the shuttle. You can't bring it into the festival but you can go in and out as many times as you'd like and they sell alcohol in the festival but it is expensive.

Wal-mart would be the cheapest but if you aren't pro Wal-mart there are other chain stores near by as mentioned above.

food in the festival is expensive ($7 for a slice of pizza... but it is spicey pie nommm) I'd suggest bringing in food to the camp grounds.

Some more UK people!! What are the plans you have made? We are planning on getting out there for 5th April and spending some time in Cali before we go down to the festival on 14th. We have no idea as to what we do in the lead up to the festival but again we are as clueless in terms of where we will be camping and what amenities we will find there, but I have read nothing but good so far in these posts so we are just as excited as you. We are flying from Norwich in Norfolk
