2013 Likely Artists with New/Recent Releases

I was up pretty close and was excited to see them but left disappointed. It was so crowded up front and underwhelming that people were literally crowd surfing out of there. What it seemed like to my friends and I who were right up front was that MGMT was gearing up for an encore but were over their time limit and were not allowed to go back out. We could see them on the side stage looking like they wanted to go back out but just didnt. Case and point, they typically played Kids and Congratulations during an encore while on that tour. Unfortunately, those are my two favorite songs of theirs and their lack of "time mgmt" left me dissatisfied.

That's actually really interesting to me, as the pervasive opinion was that they deliberately left out Kids. This actually makes a lot of sense too.

Yes, please to Pet Shop Boys. Saw some of their performance at Glasto and it was quite nice. Plus, they are part of a shorter and shorter list of performers who have never made the trip to Indio...

Garbage would be awesome, but this, plus No Doubt's recent album announcement, and you'll have 2/3 of the last major No Doubt tour from what? 2003?

I've got a feeling (as I"m sure many already have) that No Doubt as a headliner of one of the days is going happen, unless proven otherwise. It's just too much of a can't-lose pick for GV.

opinions are opinions..... ive seen them 3 times, including that Street Scene set, and theyve been really bad all 3 times. Only thing about Coachella in '10 was that Andrew's singing has gotten a bit better.

I've seen them 3 times too, and that was street scene was by far their better performance...I was in the front row tho so maybe that had something to do wit it...mmmhhhmmm

Elton John's new album is being released in February 2013 for promotional reasons....if Paul can play coachella Elton can too. I've seen him in Vegas and hes amazing

They were pretty boring in 2008, but then again, in a day where I also saw Kraftwerk, Portishead, and Prince in succession, what else was I going to remember that day?

I have seen Elton live and really enjoyed him, but he's not a good fit to headline Coachella. He doesn't put the kind of energy into the performance that Paul does and he doesn't bring the visual spectical of Roger Waters. He would cost too much to book without being the headliner.

Does he even do festivals?
