The National put out High Violet in 2010... I'd love to see them put something out in 2013 and be at Coachella. Seems like they tour the shit out of their albums though so who knows if they feel like they need to take a break or something.

Doseone's new album came out today. Would really like to see him on the bill.
MGMT's self-titled album is being released sometime this year, and they've been there twice and seemed to enjoy themselves. They got a good sized crowd, too. I wouldn't be surprised to see them back there. And it does go along with the realization that 2013 may be Repeatchella.
I thought that was 2012?

CocoRosie set to release a few new singles next month..... they really need to be on the lineup next year.

Young the Giant is going to start recording their new album in september. Although the album probably won't be out until next summer, I can see them playing next year
In regards to the new Green Day album, I think they'd be better first day headliners than Kings of Leon or Black Keys haha
Alabama Shakes - album just came out in April, they're doing other festies this year. Afternoon set.

I mentioned Tool on the first page, but whatever:
The Prodigy would make the weekend for me, I didn't even know they had an album coming out.
MGMT was very poorly received in 2010, but I missed them that year so I'd be down. They were fairly good at the Greek when I saw them. I'm one of the few who seems to have really liked Congratulations.

They had a big crowd but that doesn't mean they were well-received. I didn't see them so I can't say, but all of my neighbors from that year were "underwhelmed" and "left to get a good spot for Muse" and I saw mostly negative responses on the forum. They didn't play Kids (which I think is awesome but most people bitched about), and they played a lot of their new album which had been released less than a month beforehand so a lot of people didn't know the songs.
Again, I'm not saying they were bad or didn't have a big crowd (I remember hearing nothing but Oracular Spectacular on the campgrounds that year), I'm just saying the post-Coachella reviews were negative, and I think they have a reputation as a pretty weak live band overall. When I saw them they were solid though.
mgmt bored the hell out of me. I really wish I had just got a good spot for muse
I saw MGMT twice in a year, Coachella 2010 and Outside Lands 2011. I was pretty bored with their set at Coachella. They seemed less than enthused to play their hits and they have very little energy when they performed. Thought maybe it was a fluke at Coachella, but they were equally as boring at Outside Lands.
Ghostland Observatory has a 2012 record TBA, according to Wikipedia, the font of all accurate knowledge. Time for them to come back.

I was up pretty close and was excited to see them but left disappointed. It was so crowded up front and underwhelming that people were literally crowd surfing out of there. What it seemed like to my friends and I who were right up front was that MGMT was gearing up for an encore but were over their time limit and were not allowed to go back out. We could see them on the side stage looking like they wanted to go back out but just didnt. Case and point, they typically played Kids and Congratulations during an encore while on that tour. Unfortunately, those are my two favorite songs of theirs and their lack of "time mgmt" left me dissatisfied.
I can second this.. I saw MGMT play Bamboozle 2010, which was a month after Coachella. For a sub-headliner, it was one of the most boring/disappointing sets I've seen at a festival.
