Will weekend one sell out in the presale? (2013)

Does anyone have the exact count of how many weekend 1 tickets sold in the presale last year?

I think the 2 pass limit and some other factors will slow down sales a bit. I have no doubt the festival will sell out, but not until January.

I don't think that they will release all of the tickets Thursday. I would imagine that they will save some for regular sales.

they didn't last year, not sure why they would this year. if you as a promoter can sell out a weekend sight unseen wouldn't you go for it?

Coachella WILL sell out in presale/before Lineup, if not 2013, then probably by 2014. The popularity has been increasing exponentially, so that's just the way it will be.

I think it absolutely will. Last year, the majority of Weekend 1 sold out during pre-sale anyway, and the hologram story was nation wide. I had 60 year old relatives ask me about it. It brought a ton of publicity to the event that is going to attract a lot of new attendees, or finally convince those on the edge to go. There was even a thread in the Bonnarroo forums where at least a dozen of the die harders said they had to try Coach over Bonny next year after the webcam this year.

I wouldn't wait past Day 1. I think it will take a couple days, but seriously, better safe than sorry.
