Presale is highly recommended. 2011 I didn't even think I was going to go and I bought a ticket presale and laughed in amazement when it sold out. Last year I bought two to Weekend 2 because I knew they would both sell out so when they announced the line up I wasn't surprized. Coachella to me is about the music as it is to most of the people on this board but it has also become a cultural phenomenon, the hip place go to be seen, and the premier U.S. festival. People worldwide flock to Coachella because they have some of the best experiences, meet the best people, and get the best bands to play. The other festivals sometimes are just mimics or Coachella's leftovers. Should you get your presale ticket? Immediately!!!

Passes were sub $300 week of fest last year. I'd wait until them and buy off of 2ndary market.

My friend bought four passes this year from a third party, and all four of them were counterfeit. $1,500 gone with no trace of the seller. I really don't recommend this gamble.

Wonderbot knows what's up. A few of my friends just don't seem to understand this, and for the first time in six years aren't going to Coachella this year.

But I know once the lineup comes out they will all scramble to get tickets and probably won't end up getting them, while the rest of us will be reminding them that they could've taken care of it back in May 2012.

Same with my buddies. Some who have never been really want to go but they don't have the money at the moment for presale. They keep telling me they'll buy at the regular sale but they don't realize how hard it is going to be to get the regular sale. I'm just going to buy an extra ticket because I know at least one will miss the chance to buy a ticket. If it just so happens that they don't buy the ticket off of me, I'll definitely sell it to one of the boardies.
