nah, but check this out
This past year felt strange... you may have the sales, but the vibe is long gone.
I will keep the vibe going...Pick up all the slack and show the vets that newbs can bring a party!
Coachella is your daddy...now pay up!
That was the most remarkable thing I've seen on any message board outside of that Skrillex thread.
I don't think I've ever seen such a black and white winner/loser resolution to an argument on the internet.
I was originally going to post that I think everyone's an asshole for continuing pointless off-topic arguing in a thread about ticket prices, but I am wrong. What just happened is why I love this board. It is a god damn free-for-all in this place. It is the wild west. Fuck staying on topic. That would have never happened.
Yes. It is a very different experience. Things changed for the weird in 2010. I still have at least one more in my future. After 2013, I may have to reevaluate.
please let me know where i can go to see more gunzz
I'll be around.
chella has now crawled into the do lab.
its all about FUTURE TRILL.
if you don't know you should find out.
I like when people say there are too many "bros" at Coachella now. There have always been a shit ton of bros at the festival. Perhaps your perception has changed, but that element has always been there.
10/8 - Little Dragon @ Marquee (Tempe, AZ)
10/11 - Carolina Chocolate Drops @ Rialto Theater (Tucson, AZ)
11/10 - The Black Keys @ US Airways Center (Phoenix, AZ)
4/10/15 - 4/12/15 - Coachella
There were actually 4 major changes this time around...
1st - increased ticket prices
2nd - 2 ticket limit per billing address (last year it was 4)
3rd - layaway down payment was increased from 10% to 20%
4th - 7 monthly payments instead of 8.
Is this reason enough not to wanna go next year? Of course not... however, it is still questionable as to why these significant changes were made all of the sudden.
Just some food for thought.
Wow, there’s some up-tight morons here!
You are essentially paying an extra 5 bucks a day to be entertained in beautiful surroundings with (probably) one of the greatest festival line-up's imaginable. For those of you cursing Coachella for charging a little more, please, please, please do not buy tickets. Tight fisted negative thinking is not what people need to be stuck with for 4 days.
For the record, I flew in from Australia for Coachella 2012, spent the best part of $3500 in total, and more than got my money’s worth. I am sure there are thousands others like me – For God’s sake, 100 bucks a day to see some of the biggest acts around, mix with great people in the sun at a well run and professional festival is a fucking bargain.
Nobody’s forcing you to buy tickets and the speed at which pre-sale sold out this year proves that if you don’t go, someone far more deserving probably will.
Rant over x
