it seemed weird to me that they didn't say how old Meow was in that article (unless i missed it). Only 2 years old! And fed hot dogs! That sucks.

EDIT: I've had people act concerned about the size of my cat at about 18 pounds, but he's really just a giant cat, he doesn't really look fat to me. he's going to be 17 in July and has never had health issues that I am aware of, so I'm going to assume i am a good pet owner.

I tried to tell my cat that this could be her fate if she doesn't stop eating the dog food that lays out all day but she just started blankly at me and went back to sleep.

When my cats get human food, it's a few peas. Or some ground turkey. The water from a can of tuna. I can't imagine giving them hot dogs...gross.

According to my vet, some cats really do love food and will stuff themselves. We have 5 boys, and 2 of them are overweight. The other 3 are of average weight.

I will give my cat a bite of whatever meat i am eating, and g=he gets a slice of deli meat every morning instead of canned food. I can just fill his bowl with dry food all the way to the top and he'll make it last a week. he loves to eat, but he's not a pig.
