For steaks, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and cholula are always my go-to base, then i usually mix with something thicker like bbq sauce, a tangy steak sauce or teriyaki sauce (lately Trader Joe's Island Soyaki) - or all 3.

This is just a smal portion of my husband's hot sauce.
Ha. I can't argue. He's got the same problem with mustards.
A good mustard is key just like good hot sauce. Peppercorn also!
i met a guy fairly recently that belongs to a fancy mustard-of-the-month club. I was jealous.

the Offspring singer one. It's aight. Saw that Arrogant Bastard one at World Market and was wondering how it was (looks full so it must be shitty).
The best hot sauce in Southern California is the red sauce from King Taco. Too bad they haven't bottled it. If anyone likes Rubio's hot chipotle sauce, like myself, then try this recipe as it's pretty close (be careful with the salt): http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/411444
I like Huichol, but you probably never heard of it...
Goes great with sea food

I had a generous scoop of hot mustard on a fry at an Irish pub last night. it was upsetting how hot it was. my throat was on fire for like an hour. We determined later that it was probably meant to be mixed in with my au jus.

I have tried the chipotle tabasco. It's good.

Are y'all not paying attention or is it not that clever?
I thought he looked more like a 70's anchorman at a Cinco de Mayo party, and the Kill Whitey part is just silly drunken banter.
Cholula is the only correct response. Tapatio tastes thin.
And I think it's weird that anyone would put sauce on a steak. If it needs sauce, it means I didn't prepare it correctly.
This stuff. This stuff is dangerously delicious. The only way to soothe the heat is to keep eating more, which only compounds the problem upon cessation of ingestion.
I very much enjoy the overall taste of sriracha. It doesn’t overpower whatever you are applying it to and uh, to phrase this as simple as possible, it saves our house money on extra toilet paper. We use the chili paste with simmer sauce and shrimp over white rice. Crystal is good as well. Cholula reminds me of pepper and vinegar. Tapatio was a last resort backup to homemade chili in our home growing up. I never used it though. Tabasco was created for white people. Anyone with any type of regular palate would not eat that shit.
Whiskey Sour
2 oz blended whiskey
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1 cherry
1/2 slice lemon
Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.
Nobody likes you Tom. Sriracha is good shit.

Sriracha is more versatile. I can even put Sriracha on Mexican food if I need to. I will not put Cholula on any of my Asian foods.
For sure. I've been adding it to beans de la olla recently.

At my first coachella back in 2006, I got scolded by the dude in the food truck for putting Sriracha on an eggroll!
algunz, is that Arrogant Bastard hot sauce any good? I see it all the time at my local Baron's. Love the beer, but I'm not sure how well it would taste as a condiment..
