My mix stuporfly got was the summer vacation mix god dammit.

As far as reviews go:

Hatinisbad mix is apart of my cd rotation in my car, it will be a prerave mix. Some of it I wish was arranged differently as I felt I was jumping different moods too fast. Something must've happened with the burning because unfortunately after track 12, everything skips and ends the CD. Double check your burns before you send folks.

The Infected Mushroom track and the Jesus track were too much for me, I skip past those songs every time I listen to the mix, the AVICII song is more tolerable than those two for my personal preferences. Infected Mushroom felt like Deadmau5 on speed. Cant do it, and the "Jesus is alright with me" track scared me. It felt like a song you hear in a mall while having a bad trip and there is no where you can comfortably sit down.

I give this album a "Hershey's Cookies and Cream" rating, for being an enjoyable mix, but having brief moments where the music is a bit overwhelming compared to the rest of the album. I would love to hear Hatinisbad actually mix the album, I felt some songs needed this, but that is a whole other story (mixing the mix 100%)

Um, yeah. A "mix" cd isn't really a "mix" cd at all if a theme is assigned.

And, who cares if someone reviews it or not? If there are too many rules in place, this will all go downhill very fast.

Do you think this is too much? You write about the mix you received in this thread. An acknowledgment is all that is needed. I think people should have the decency to say that they got it at the least. They are already avoiding work and everything else by being on here al the time. Just pop in.


Also, the theme idea was brought up by a good number of people. I personally dont care for it but it could create an interesting dynamic. At it says, TBD. Doesn't have to happen.

On July 16th I will contact everyone through email with who they will be sending their mix to. I would like you all to mail your mixes out by July 25th.

My apologies to the recipient of my mix...I definitely put a lot of time into creating the mix itself, but upon having to go out of town for work this morning I discovered that I was out of jewel cases and I lost my Sharpie. So, the mix got sent, but it's just a loose cd with no writing on it in an envelope. I intended to wait and provide the track list after the person listened to it anyway, but wanted to be able to at least write on the cd or include even minimal artwork.

Regardless, it's in the mail, and should be there early next week I'm guessing.

In other news, my mix arrived today! It is from nosurprises12 and is titled "A Bunch of Jamaican Music Not Made By Bob Marley". Funny enough he and I were chatting on facebook early on in this process and he was telling me he was making something like this, to which I said it was not really my type of music. That said, he obviously put a lot of effort into it - beautiful packaging, and a nice note. I am going to bed now, but I wanted to acknowledge receipt. Going to pop the CD in my car for my commute(s) tomorrow and I will post impressions along with photos tomorrow! Thanks Jason!
