So I went to the TIMF shindig at Prizefighter last night, and talked to one of the guys who works for TIMF, he mentioned that it was interesting that no one has commented on the difference in how many bands there are per day. He had my friend pull up the lineup poster on his phone and pointed to the "empty" slot on Sunday, and told us they were going to be adding another band, not a headliner, but not a small band either. So take that for what its worth.
UPDATE: There is a gap between Youth Lagoons and Los Campesinos! on the FB event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/240106696109187/

Unless he mentioned something about replacing Porter Robinson and Girl Talk I'm not much interested.
Girl Talk had to have been a fall-back. No way were they shooting for him as the Sat "headliner". Damn is that an embarrassing booking.

I have to say I am happy this lineup ended up being shit, it made me pull the trigger for fyf fest.
The M83 show I saw last month was not as good as I had hoped it would be (first time seeing them as well). No "Kim and Jessie" or "Don't Save Us From the Flames" either.
We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.
I'm also passing this year. I have gone the past two years but with the price increase and lackluster lineup... just doesn't seem worth it. Might have considered it if it was cheaper.
M83>DC,RS,LG>BTDHU>Digital Shades>Saturdays=Youth>Hurry Up, We're Dreaming
You have to admire the consitency. I didn't even know who M83 was before coachella '05 and I was blown away. I went to the record store the week after we got back and bought every album and a couple singles. It breaks my heart to think that we may never see songs like car chase terror on setlists ever again.![]()
you guys will hate this then: http://blogs.indiewire.com/theplayli...ruise-20120628
How about adding Metric for sunday? They're in the area then and don't have any SF shows announced, do they?
As cool as adding Metric might be, they would be higher on the billing than Youth Lagoon, Divine Fits, and Best Coast (not sure about Gossip vs. Metric) and the gap in the lineup suggests someone lower than Youth Lagoon, but higher than Los Campesinos! So I doubt it would be Metric.
Which totally sucks because Metric hasn't announced a real Bay Area show, and I'd love to go see them!
Saturday looks good to me aside from girl talk and araabmuzik. I agree that m83 belongs as the saturday headliner... I'm guessing they're too big for TI now, but I was really hoping florence + the machine would headline sunday.
Joanna Newsom added on Sunday.
Whoa. I'm not a fan, but I'd be curious to check out her set. Maybe I will get a 2-day pass.

Selling my 2-day pass if anyone is interested. $128.45
How bout $128.44?
Jeff Goldblum for main stage 2012.
2011 Perfectchella.
Lol. $128.45 was exactly what I paid for it. I might be able to negotiate down to $128.44, but you'd have to throw in a hand job.
Youre supposed to include the handjob, youre azn...
