They're opening for Morrissey soon.
I know they reunited seven years ago at this point, but Coachella still needs to get Dinosaur Jr. A Talk Talk/Mark Hollis performance would actually get me there this year, finances be damned.
About that huge reunion leak, it's obviously KUKL.

If anything, Lolla skews the youngest out of all the major fests. I honestly can't imagine the Replacements being a major draw with a crowd that is (from what I've seen) mostly made up of people who can't legally drink. And they don't fit the Bonnaroo template (any "reunions" Bonnaroo tends to get are of the classic rock variety, a la the Beach Boys and Buffalo Springfield).
The Replacements are my hope/wish/prayer as the answer to this. They're a band, not a solo singer. "At least" one member has significant name recognition - obviously Westerberg, but the "at least" implies that one other member (or more) might have some cache, and I think Tommy Stinson fits. And they weren't mentioned in this thread before Travelfan's post.
But somebody said Culture Club, and that seems more likely and makes just as much, if not more, sense. Fuck.
NIRVANA, SONIC YOUTH, PIXIES, AVENGED SEVENFOLD.
IMO, Culture Club or Eurythmics were the only names that could fit the criteria. Boy George hasn't worked in the US for several years now after that arrest and a CC reunion has been hinted elsewhere.
Replacements would be a big deal. GV had no problem getting PIL, Specials or Madness and giving them prime stage scheduling.
Old news but I don't think it's been posted yet. This would be wild.
