That's what happens at a free concert where the majority of the crowd is in 10th grade. I made sure to get away from the main stage as Grouplove was coming on. Other than that, I thought it was a pretty solid day. and I agree that the Majestical Roof Stage was definitely the place to be.

Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1 cherry
1/2 slice lemon
Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.
Dengue Fever was good.
I was walking through the park when I saw this young lady in an orange dress taking the stage. I stopped for a minute and she was incredible! Ended up watching the whole set. So talented.

I had a pretty successful day of Free music. Went pretty early, caught Happy Hollows, Peach Kings, Electric Guest, Cults, Grimes, and HoneyHoney. Walking to and from each stage was a hassle. I got sunbruned. But pretty much enjoyed all the music I saw. I will say the Grimes set could have been a lot better. I mean she did ok, but the sound and crowd at that stage were pretty fucking gross. Plus the stage was too low so even a tall girl like myself could barely see anything over all the dirty hipsters.
Then I took my sweaty sunburned ass home, got glammed up and headed over to the Palladium for Rye Rye and The Scissor Sisters (which I also didnt pay for!)!
So yeah best day of Free music ever!

They're awesome! My girlfriend actually knows a couple of them. The keyboardist recognized her, which surprised her since she hasn't seen any of them for about a year and came over and chatted with us. Super nice guy. He insisted on giving me a hug after 4 minutes of chatting.

Yeah I know the drummer from high school drumline. I'm gonna see em open for Young the Giant at the OC Fair. I was thinking of having them play the show I'm putting together but don't think that's gonna work out.
