I tried to make it out to this last year, but work had other plans. this year I'm not on call anymore, so I think I'll be attending.

I really want to see Dengue Fever and Grimes!

    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

That's a pretty nifty lineup for FREE. I'm excited to see Cults and Grouplove again. I am also excited to see Grimes for the first time.

Dengue Fever! This was so much fun last year, even though we pretty much ended up in the courtyard watching the smaller acts. It was like a back yard party.

last year's crowd was way bigger than the previous year's, and this year's lineup is even stronger

afraid that the crowd will be even more packed than Pasadena night market a few weeks ago

They are really scattering the bands across different stages this year, already seeing some conflicts eg Ozma v Chain gang of 1974 at 2pm

    http://www.makemusicpasadena.org/program.html

Hope Fire Marshall won't shut the event down during Grouplove, they are getting airplay on KIIS FM as well. It's going to be crazy packed.

If it is as hot this year as in previous years I think that will help keep the crowds down.

Grimes v. Milo Greene, has anyone seen both or either? Leaning towards Grimes currently.

    Go Grimes.

I'm pissed about the Cults and Grimes conflict. Those 2 stages are a mile apart from one another.

I was annoyed that they didn't have a map for all the stages, so i made one in google maps and included metro stops and sveral bars and restaurants for all interested! I put all the bnds and set times in the stage descriptions too.

Last year it was incredibly packed for Best Coast (they played around 5?). It was like headliner night time Coachella packed (the heat did nothing to turn people away). The way they set it up was that the stage was basically a dead end. You could not get near the stage at all, nor could you move anywhere because the sidewalks around the stage were shut down. It looks like Cults will be at the same stage this year so I am probably going to skip them and just try to catch Grimes.

Later on at night it was much more enjoyable. We basically walked to the front for Zola Jesus right before it started and there was no one there.

We're thinking about starting the day at Congregation Ale House actually, which looks awesome. Would also like to check out King's Row and haven during the day if possible, as well as lucky baldwin's.

If The Congregation Ale house still has To Ĝl/Mikkeller Sleep Over Coffee IIPA on Tap like it does right now, I am down to go there ...Plus I have always wanted to check out Congregation since they have beer chillers on the bar.Lucky Baldwin is having their IPA festival/week or whatever while Make Music is going.

    SOLD!!!!!

I am thinking about doing a weekend pass thing with the Metrolink so I can get DRUNK. We should definitively just start off with a personal bloody mary pitcher.

Super fun day yesterday, but failed at watching music and it turned into a pub crawl. Watched NO and The Steelwells who were both good. The rest of the day we hit up Congregation, Lucky Baldwins, NY Deli, Olde Town Pub, King's Row, and Wokcano
