I have wanted to go for a long time. I don't know anything about the logistics of this festival per say but I have a lot of family from NOLA and can attest there ain't no party like a Nawlins party. I'm sure you will have a blast if you go.

Thanks McDrink! Will have to read through more of the threads, but sounds like a good time especially being not to far from LA.

I agree romanticizer, if you can't have fun in NOLA, you don't have a pulse. I hear they announce the lineup in August. Definitely be getting the fest itch by then!

Its kind of disappointing dude. I live within walking distance and haven't been in years.

I got the $77 presale tixs to this, figured why not. NOLA at halloween would be cool in itself and jesus $26 bucks a day? thats crazy to me. Looks like they got Green Day in a exclusive 2012 US festival appearance as a headliner. I'm not expecting much so thats halfway decent I guess.

I got the $77 presale tickets too.

Looks like they got Tomahawk, Neil Young w/ Crazy Horse, Justice and more to come.

If we are to believe KROQ

According to festival organizers, the full line-up is set to be announced Wednesday

It would be great to see Green Day and Neil Young again, but I am set on doing Moog that weekend. Hopefully I will get to see both of those acts in 2013.

I would love to see Tomahawk, and I enjoy this festival... but not this year.

Coachella + Outside Lands + ACL... can't fit another in. Maybe Tomahawk will pop up in a show someplace.

New Orleans’ Voodoo Experience has revealed the rest of its 2012 lineup. Along with previously-confirmed heavyweights like Green Day, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Skrillex, and Justice, the festival’s 14th go-around promises Jack White, The Avett Brothers, Silversun Pickups, Kaskade, Gary Clark Jr., Bootsy Collins, Dave Stewart, and Thomas Dolby.

Also playing are Marcia Ball, George Porter Jr., Die Antwoord, AWOLNATION, Toots and the Maytals, Soul Rebels Brass Band, Say Anything, The Gaslamp Killer, Borgore, Nervo, Modestep, Delta Rae, and more.

I've always kind of wanted to check this festival out some year but good god this lineup is terrible.

It's beyond terrible. They take no big risks by booking a bunch of acts that have already played in new orleans within the last few years. Then fill the bottom tier with local acts and djs like beverly skills that play what seems like every week here and are horrible. I don't know, maybe coachella spoiled me, but this festival is bullshit.

I happen to be going to NOLA for a wedding the same weekend and was hoping to check out this festival for a day, but holy shit, this is one of the worst lineups I have ever seen.

I'm surprised this thread doesn't have more hits so close to the fest. It is 2012, right? I guess no one is going? I'm considering...but $200 and all the hassle of getting there and back every day might not be worth the 4 acts I'd like to see.
