Yeah same. It was my second favorite set of the weekend and I've never considered myself a die-hard AC fan at all. I was also sober. A lot of people definitely seemed to hate it though.

I read about Pearl Jam with a new album and it being 20 years actually since them playing at the empire polo grounds and also Sabbath are touring next year.
Just wondered on what the person's view himself was

Sabbath aren't touring next year. Ward is out and after lolla it's gonna be rebranded "Ozzy and Friends" for the remaining dates.

As for PJ, i don't think them playing is terribly farfetched, but the 20th anniversary wouldn't have anything to do with booking them.

I thought sabbath were? i read a report of the download gig today and it said sabbath who are to tour in 2013 have written 15 new songs.

I'm on about next year. they have a new album coming out towards end of this year/start of next possibly called 2013. only reason for ozzy and friends is cuz of iommi of ward. if iommi wasn't ill it'd be sabbath without bill, and who cares, that rummer was amazing last night so. geezer and iommi smashing guitars with ozzy on vocals, good enough for me

I'm glad I caught Sabbath in 2005, before this shit happened. To me, without all original members, it isn't quite the same.

So in a chat today on pearljam.com, Kelly Curtis (manager) said Pearl Jam will play Coachella eventually. Also said that the band will play a lot of US shows in 2013. Hopefully this adds up to what I'm wanting it to add up to.

Hopefully....Pearl Jam, Tool and Daft Punk would be great headliners for me, but realistically Im expecting Phoenix, No Doubt, Tool or something.

Alright so I've waited a couple days to share this on the boards.
I was at The Cribs show this past Friday and had a cool conversation with the doormen, they both worked for goldenvoice and one of them was the guy in charge of booking the Gobi tent.
After sharing pictures and stories of last years fest I had to leave. I asked who would headline next year, of course They said they couldnt say but when the Gobi guy exited our conversation, The other doorman leaned over and quietly said we are trying real hard to book........

Fairly positive specific people aren't responsible for booking a stage they are assigned. The lineup is booked as a whole, not per stage. So yeah, bullshit.
