I need to see the Stones at their next So Cal tour stop, I'd just prefer it's not Coachella but I'll take it.
Stones/Pearl Jam/whatever would be chill tho

Following the obviously flawed and likely to be proven wrong “template” meme:
1. Mainstream Celebrity Who Everyone On Earth Knows Even if They Know Nothing About Music Beyond What They Hear About in People Magazine (Paul McCartney, Jay Z, Kanye, Dre/Snoop) = The Rolling Stones. Justin Timberlake & Eminem are my back up guesses.
2. Established Act Popular Enough to Play Big Arenas In Most Major Cities But Probably Not Someone Your Mother is Familiar With (The Cure, Gorillaz, Kings of Leon, Radiohead) = Pearl Jam. No Doubt and Green Day are my back up guesses.
3. Coachella Veteran Who Gets Promoted to Headliner-Status And Becomes a Mainstream Household Name At Roughly The Same Time (The Killers, Muse, Arcade Fire, The Black Keys) = Daft Punk. Phoenix is my backup guess.
Okay so I had No Doubt, Coldplay, and Rolling Stones as my predicted headliners but now I'm changing Coldplay to Muse. For real.
Just kind of thought about this...any possibility Silversun Pickups could be the junior headliner? They'll be coming off their 3rd album just like the Killers, and they had at least one big hit each from the first two. Granted the Killers had two or three big hits from the first album...I think it's a stretch but not out of the question.
As much as I love SSPU, they are definitely not a Coachella headliner. At least not yet.

| May 22 - Paul McCartney | May 24 - Black Flag | May 25 - Soundgarden | May 31 - Baroness | June 1 - Andy Stott | June 10 - Dragonette | June 22 - Tricky | July 27 - Black Sabbath | August 2 - Rob Zombie/Mastodon |August 15 - Queens of the Stone Age | October 4-6 - ACL |
Love SSPU but theres no way. I dont think they would even sub. Their first album is great, second is good and has a few really good songs, and new album is awful. Also hate that they are playing less and less songs from Carnavas.
leonard fucking cohen.

The Killers
No Doubt
Drake/Lil Wayne (?)
No Doubt's due for a new album this September and the Killers are releasing their new album either at the end of this year of the beginning of next year. I think it'd make sense. And the Gaga thing may make sense as well (for Sunday) since I believe the US is the last leg of her tour in March, so it'd be ending just in time for Coachella (though personally I'm not sure if I'd want to see Gaga at Coachella).
3/13-3/17 - SXSW - Austin
4/11 - The Shouting Matches - Pappy & Harriets
4/12-4/14 - Coachella Music & Arts Festival - Empire Polo Grounds
4/16 - Sigur Ros - Fox Theater Oakland

4/22 - The Gaslight Anthem - Belly Up Tavern
6-2 - CHVRCHES - Belly Up Tavern
6/7-6/9 - Governors Ball Music Festival w/ Kanye West - Governors Island NYC
This is probably the closest in terms of "realistic expectations". Even if the lineup isn't exactly correct, this is probably the closest to the types of names in terms of star power, headliners, hype, etc that will actually be on the poster. Tons of good stuff to see, a couple collective groans, but overall a great time with some excellent names.
But don't worry, by November we will all be back to "Daft Punk/OutKast/The Knife subheadlining" pipedreams.
Friday
Depeche Mode
Vampire Weekend- Queens Of The Stone Age- Sigur Ros
Saturday
Green Day
Yeah Yeah Yeahs- The Stone Roses- Bassnectar

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/hank-b...b_1537540.htmlWhen talking about lists of inevitable things, my buddy Riff will always include, "...and the Rolling Stones are going on tour." This year marks the Stones 50th Anniversary. While Keith Richards said that there probably wouldn't be a 50th anniversary tour, tickets have allegedly gone on sale for a September 1 show in Berlin. It would seem even Keith Richards can't fight the inevitable.
Coachella 07 (the introduction), 08 (the bands), 09 (the documentary), 10 (the people i came with), 11 (the relationship test... we passed), 12 (whatever the weather, Dirty Epic forever), 13 (the year of the troll)
- PEARL JAM WHY YOU HATE COACHELLA? -
If The Stones had already booked a Berlin show I think it would have announced with more fanfare.
well you may get both..... But i think Neil refuses to be anything but a headliner.

Since when have the postal service announced that they're coming out with their second album? Your lineup seems very plausible, but I have yet to hear the news that the postal service is coming out with new material...
on a side note, I can see drake & lil wayne, or no doubt subbing before the stones.
