i think a band like RHCP casts a wide enough net to be worthy of headlining, but their relevance to the average coachella-goer is probably waning.

This is silly: RHCP can headline. Again. And in 2013. Whether they should is a different question, but it's hardly some sort of all-time embarrassment for Coachella if they do.

Can I quickly stomp out the mere mention of Adele coming anywhere near Headliner status. 1) She's never played Coachella 2) GV wouldn't put someone as a headliner just because they won a Grammy (Meaning, the artist had to have substantial musical influence). I don't mind Adele, but she doesn't really belong at Coachella. As far as I'm aware, wouldn't play in a festival setting either because she gets nervous in front of big crowds. Please stop mentioned her as an option--it's stupid.

show everyone how it is done. He is amazing live and Coachella could use some real blues. He's 75 and still going strong.
