I pray for this every year. Probably my favorite group of all time along with Daft Punk. Biggest regrets in life is not going to Area: ONE and Audiotistic with them.

OUTKAST 2014
Röyksopp, FC Kahuna, Télépopmusik, The Knife, RJD2, Futue Sound of London, The Avalanches, 808 State, Zero 7, Tycho, Mr. Scruff
Pretty much the only hip hop headliner left that would really get me excited.
Don't they hate each other now?
I can't really think of any other Hip Hop Chella headliner Goldenvoice would book

Certainly after this year - I mean it's hard to top Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg ft. 50 Cent, Eminem, and 2PAC's HOLOGRAM.
Agreed that it would be hard to top this year's headliner. Dre, Snoop & Co. absolutely crushed it. With that said the only two acts in the same realm (not including Jay & Ye) would seem to be Eminem and Outkast.
Anyone else think they could take a year off from having a hip hop headliner, or are the past three years an indication of what has become the standard?
Yeah, fuck Drake. No no no. I liked Degrassi and all but, no. Not even in the same zip code.
I think we will start to see some legitimate electronic headliners. Maybe Deadmaus5 or Skrillex (sorry guys, it's a real possibility)
To clarify, I meant I can't see any other one they would book aside from Outkast
maaaybe Beastie Boys again

WHY HASNT THIS HAPPENED YET?????
They both make somewhat regular appearances elsewhere separately, GET IT TOGETHER FELLAS!
Bowie/Daft Punk/Outkast would be the trifecta to end ALL trifectas.
This. I highly doubt Skrillex, I think dubstep has already reached its peak. Depending on how the year goes for him I can see Deadmau5 becoming a headliner honestly but I still think it would be odd if Daft Punk isn't the first EDM headliner of Coachella, fucking doubt that will happen though. All of this said I'd be ecstatic for Outkast.
It basically sounds like Outkast is doing any more work together as a group. Big Boi is doing Outside Lands again (He performed there last year too), but I would really like to see André 3000 on stage. He's headline quality, and he's has enough professional clout and has worked with enough talent that he could pull in some heavyweight guest stars. And as Three Stacks is putting out a new album this year, Coachella would be the perfect place to promote it.
OutKast is the only hip-hop headliner left. I really feel that Eminem is not ever going to headline, can't exactly articulate why but I just don't see it happening, and if it is there will be at least a couple years after Dre and Snoop.
Does anybody know who the replacement headliner was for Sabbath? I assumed it was Keys, but a couple people seemed to indicate it was Dre. If Dre really was the replacement, it seems like they were going for "rock" this year. I don't think next year will have a hip-hop headliner, but I also think that Coachella has the most cache with the hip-hop industry of any of the festivals globally. They can basically book who they want from this point on. I don't think anybody in hip-hop is going to turn down the festival after what Dre accomplished. I think/hope from here on out they will have some great hip-hop in the first few lines.
Do want Grandmaster Flash, Kurtis Blow, and Ice T.

Outkast needs to happen. I need to trip balls and listen to Spottieottiedopelicious being played by a live band on the fields.
Artist that are ready without a doubt include the following: Outkast, Em and the Beastie Boys. Atmosphere would be able to hold it down. He is the best hip-hop show I've seen next to Jay Z (on the King of Thrones tour). I really like 50 Cent live too. He gets the crowd hyped.
With our love-we could save the world-if they only knew.
Oh man.. how epic would it be to hear that... If Outkast does a set, it needs to be at least 2 hours and heavy on the first three albums.
