Well?
Didn't see any of the headliners this year. Saw every band I wanted to see...what a great weekend!
I saw all the Headliners. Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre for the win!
Dr Dre/Snoop, no question about it. If you've seen Radiohead in the past, you'd know their set left much to be desired. Who are the Black Keys?
Upcoming Shows:
Pitchfork Festival: 7/19 @ Union Park
Mountain Oasis Festival: 10/25-27
Coachella: 4/11-13 @ Empire Polo Fields
Radiohead: Best Artistry
Dre/Snoop: Most Fun

Honestly was expecting it to go Radiohead>Dre+Snoop>Black Keys but it went the exact opposite for me.
I had absolutely no desire to see the Black Keys (and I really like the band). Talk about over-saturation.

Gold Panda - 9/14 - Mohawk
Austin City Limits - 10/4 - 10/6 - Zilker Park

First weekend: Dre and Snoop. Second weekend: Radiohead. The place was going absolutely crazy for Dre and Snoop though, I've never seen a Main Stage crowd like that. Definitely the best headliner of 2012.
6/2 - Bjork - Hollywood Palladium
6/5 - Cut Hands - The Void
6/11 GZA - Porter's Pub
6/12 - Casey Abrams - The Griffin
6/13 - Cold Cave - The Void
6/19 - ZZ Ward - Birch Aquarium
I thought Radiohead was good, but too King of Limbs heavy upfront.
Dre and Snoop was awesome, except for every guest segment, which was half of the set. Dre was center of attention in that set 1/4 of the entire time. So as a whole, I would say good, not great. Also, 50 has now offically performed at Coachella (as did Master P in weekend two)... so that happened.
Didn't care enough to see Black Keys. Saw them in 2009, and perfectly ok with that.
Best act that wasn't a headliner, but better than all three? Jeff Mangum.
only saw RH and the Black Keys, but the former comes out on top.
not sure if i'm missing something, what was wrong with the keys' set?
Dre and Snoop was definitely fun to watch and the experience was great. But I can't vote them number one because I can't stand his music. If I liked that sort of thing, they would definitely be my top by far
I was disappointed by all (didn't see the keys though), but I have to say Dre as I never thought I would see him. Would have been nice if they had changed their setlist or script a little for weekend 2.
Exit Music was not enough to save Radiohead for me. I can't exactly work out why, but they didn't work for me this time round.
^ This is pretty much my opinion too except I thought Radiohead was great. I went 2nd weekend. I like the new stuff though, which probably matters. It was my least favorite setlist of the three times I've seen them. Dre and Snoop were a ton of fun and didn't disappoint me too much...but they did a little. Jeff Mangum I almost didn't see but Two Headed Boy part 2 at sunset...wow.
Ron Paul 2012!
Upcoming Shows:
Four Tet
Coachella 4/20-4/22
Death Cab for Cutie/Magik Magik Orchestra
Radiohead
some other bands
That whole set at sunset! My girlfriend was in tears... so beautiful. Also liked how they announced that Mangum didn't want people filming or taking pictures of his performance, so it kept most everyone on the same wavelength the whole set. Made the whole weekend for the both of us.
Dre and Snoop. 1 vote)
Dre and Snoop were the best headliners of the past 3 years.
Dr. Dre and Snoop did exactly what a true headliner is supposed to do and bring everything. As much as people complained the past years about headliners-KOL, Muse, Killers, Jack Johnson, this year had the better overall satisfaction after the fest.
Radiohead was amazing, but it may have been the buzz, and having seen them on Thursday in Santa Barbara it was so much more high-energy. I love TKOL, so that wasn't an issue.
I can't believe I'm saying this after FINALLY seeing Radiohead, but I'd have to give it to the rappers.
I love the Black Keys, but I've seen them many times, and I was tired by that time. Radiohead's set left something to be desired in comparison to previous performances. Did not see Dre and Snoop. Sure that was awesome but had to be back in LA by 9am Monday.
Highlights of the weekend were mainly middle of the day/sunset performances (as usual).
Pleasantly surprised that Dre and Snoop are ahead of Radiohead
Don't get my wrong I love Radiohead, but that Dre and Snoop set was amazing.
I have never seen a Coachella crowd, let alone a crowd at any show, react the way they did for Dre/Snoop during Weekend 1. People were losing it on a level I've never experienced. I totally see how Radiohead were better on an artistic level, but Dre/Snoop were the embodiment of what a headliner is supposed to be.
^ You're right about the crowd reaction for Dre/Snoop, but I felt the energy was completely drained when Dre went off stage and all the guests started coming out - I thought it was billed as Dre & Snoop, not Snoop feat. Dre and Friends.
