    Nothing, I had mine on the left side all weekend and didn't hear a word about it. The only thing I was told was that it shouldn't be in the tinted area of the windshield but even that didn't make any difference.

    It's supposed to go on the left side (left when you are in the car, i.e. the driver's side.)

    I put mine on the right to see if it mattered and the guy just walked around and scanned it. All the stuff about camping being linked with wristbands seems to have been a clever ruse.
