Who do you think was the best frontman(frontwoman) of weekend 1?
So far from what I've heard people are saying Jarvis of Pulp and Cedric of ATDI were the best. Also Howlin Pelle was supposed to be great and hilarious.
my vote goes to Pelle - his antics are just too awesome. he got he whole crowd going nuts by the end of the set
'03, '04, '05, '06, '09, '10, '11, 12...
...#9 is gonna be fine in 2013
Howlin Pelle is hilarious. Some people dont get it and get offended. I thought Michael Fitzpatrick from Fitz&Tantrums had good stage presence as well.
Jarvis Cocker
Howlin' Pelle
Frederick Macpherson
Annie Clark
If there's Coachella to be had, I'm gonna have it
Thom Yorke's charisma was unreal. He wins hands down
I am a big radiohead fan btw. My friends and I went back to our campsite after their set and just spoke in a british accent mocking Thom for the rest of the night.
"Hello...has any other bands played yet today? No...ok I'm going to play 20 songs all which I hate and you will love it"
Answering the question though...Kaiser Chiefs lead was great. Fitz.
Flying Lotus was amazing at pumping up the crowd for the rest of their night. As far as interaction with the crowd, he was #1 this weekend for me.
Coachella - '12 --- Lollapalooza - '08 --- Sasquatch - '06, '09, '10, '11
Friday: M83 : Explosions in the Sky : Amon Tobin

Sunday: Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg : DJ Shadow : At the Drive-In : Beats Antique : The Weeknd : Girl Talk :
Jarvis was wonderful, as was Teri from Le Butcherettes. Also, Ride from Death Grips scared the living shit out of me so I would call that a success too.

Radiohead is my most anticipated set for the weekend. I know they'll be great, they always are. Thom has this very unique stage presence but surprisingly I wouldn't say he had the best from what I saw. He did have some, but not near as much charisma are Howlin' Pelle. Haha. And yeah? Might need to check out Kaiser Chiefs then.
My favorites: Alex Turner of Arctic Monkeys (SWOON), Vito of the Rapture, and Fitz.
Coachella 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011!!!, 2012, 2013...
Jarvis!! Also, Wouter de Backer. Would Snoop be considered a frontman? HM goes to Russel Marsden for his very solid guitar playing and great hair.
Always wear a helmut
Jarvis, Flying Lotus and Annie Clark of St Vincent. Props to Thom for coming out of his shell a bit more on this tour and the Atoms for Peace tour. We will give him "Most Improved"
Jarvis is the most enigmatic frontman of all of Britpop.
The rapper from Death Grips was terrifyingly awesome!
Who was ricky gervais playing with this weekend?
I totally missed him.
Yeah the Hives frontman was a highlight as was Jarvis Cocker (and I just started listening to Pulp like, last week)
Cedric from ATDI was humorous as well.
Radiohead - great band but Thom's just not the same type of frontman as the aforementioned. He has his own humorous eccentricity but not a standout like the others. He lets the music do the talking.
its jarvis and it really isnt even all that close
Hands down Jarvis Crocker
Jarvis Cocker was awesome, and I'm not even a big Pulp fan.
I understand what the Hives guy was doing, but I just found him to be extremely annoying. I'm glad others were entertained though.
This is an easy one-
Dennis Lyxzén
Tycho| Coachella 2013| Austin Psych Fest| Psycho de Mayo| Tame Impala| Black Rebel Motorcycle Club| Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers| David Byrne & St Vincent| Capitol Hill Block Party| Godspeed You! Black Emperor| Godspeed You! Black Emperor| Devotchka| The National| FYF Fest
Pelle of The Hives was hands down the best. The guy is insane on stage and it's fantastic.
Others,
St Vincent
Pulp
Wallpaper (people on here hate the guy, but he worked the crowd up pretty damn well for noon on day 1)
Childish gambino
Pelle
whoever talked into the mic for the Black Lips
And, if Florence had the plumbing, her too.
