Can't believe the following this shitty group has and its a bummer they're at outside lands. Was hoping for someone who isn't garbage and boring.
I shouldn't have even gone after seeing their live stream from ultra. That show was mediocre. The overly long renditions of DANCE and A/V/D were weak. You add being 25 minutes late and not playing soulwax's phantom remix or anything else good from the old album and this show was just plain embarassing. I'm still kicking myself for leaving nero early

weekend 2
I thought it was great, but I'm a fan and have never seen them before. There's no doubt it could've been a lot better. If you're a casual fan or have never heard of them then this may have been disappointing. I was really bummed it was so short.

Hopefully that 25 minute delay prevented them from playing most of the songs from their sophomore release.

wow these guys suck. Mainstage for this lame light show and boring music.
crowd at mainstage was definitely bigger than their 2008 sahara appearance. i don't know how a band attracts larger crowds and becomes less popular.
for what it's worth i showed up late (or so i thought, apparently) coming straight from gotye and enjoyed everything i heard. the way the new tracks were worked into the set had definitely improved from their ultra appearance. the super-long version of AVD was pretty silly given the shortened set time, but honestly what are you expecting when all they're really doing is mimicking actual musicianship up there. their stage show sucked (as it has barely changed) but i guess i knew what to expect.
I had a blast. Go fuck yourselves.
The set was obviously prerecorded. There's no way they would have played that long shit song if they'd had known they were going to be late. And how on earth do you go on 30 minutes late when you have to set up such a shitty and boring stage? Awful, just straight awful. The most over rated and pathetic group in the history of EDM.
The two can't mix for shit anyway, what is all the complaining about?

I was definitely pissed that they started so late but I had an amazing time. Definitely was left wanting more though.
Really pissed about the lateness, and it only aggravated me more when I had to listen to Audio Video Disco for half of the set. Nobody wants to hear that shit. I still had fun when they showed up, especially for Genesis. Thought their mixing was done extremely well, though it seemed more appropriate for a two hour set.
But then Waters of Nazareth never came, so I take back everything good I said about them
So who else saw Company Flow sounding fantastic in the Gobi? Loudest show I saw. I planned to see a bit of Justice, but left for the Gobi after 20 minutes. Justice started as I made my out and sounded like shit.
Was I disappointed that their set was so short? Yes. But, for what it's worth, I along with many others were having a fucking blast dancing. I'm guessing that maybe they were late because of those technicalities and like they said, they did the best they could with what they had. I wish I could get a pass for this coming weekend because I'm sure they'll more than make up for last night's fail.
1. Run to a nice patch of grass on the fields and lay face down.
2. Tilt your head ninety degrees with your forehead temple resting on your forearm and watch people through the vision pocket right underneath your armpit hair.
3. Do this for a few hours until you get comfortable.
A Daft Punk thread containing 'nothing of substance'. How bout that.
