I'm talking about weekend 1 where they chose to play DANCE and civilization for 10 minutes each instead of songs like stress, phantom, and we are your friends

another way to see it was completely pre-recorded, no one would go on 30 mins late and play 10 minute songs if their set wasnt prerecorded. its blatantly obvious

What was with the 5 minute silence during the middle of the weekend 2 set, where they both just stood there with their fist in the air? Takes some balls to stand on stage half way through a set waiting for people to cheer while half of the crowd starts walking away.

Mehdi tribute. They did it the two other times I've seen them on this tour (ultra and Oakland) and I'm sure they have done it every other show besides week 1.

They had 30 minutes of silence for weekend 1.

Wasn't 5 mins of silence, more like 15 seconds, and that was done by the sound engineer to let Justice know their time was done. They played on through. Also, their set wasn't pre-recorded; learn something about contemporary performance technology, cuing of loops, etc. and you'll know that.

Although they played for a really short period of time weekend 1, they were still pretty damn good. Clearly they ironed out their kinks for weekend 2, given all of the "top 5" lists on the other thread.

I quite frankly enjoyed Justice's set. At least it wasn't predictable as shit!

Anyone have the audio for weekend 2? I heard the high notes of stress floating over the polo fields from the Mojave ( i saw them weekend 1 and wasnt planning on it weekend 2) and it made me run over there. Once I got there I danced harder than I did both weekends, they brought it so fucking hard weekend 2 it was incredible!

they didn't play DANCE and Civilization for 10 minutes you twerp, stop being hyperbolic. watch the webcast and you'll see it lasts maybe 5 of the 30-ish minutes they played for.

    also they did play phantom.

also that track and stress and we are your friends are 5 goddamn years old. time to update your library.

I left when it was 15 minutes past their scheduled start time. Allowed me to see Girl Talk's set in full. Fantastic decision.

if that Audio Video Disco segment took 1/3 of the set like week 1 I would've been pissed. Easily the worst part of the set and totally unnecessary coming after the perfect stopping point.

Justice KILLED it weekend 2. One of the top 5 acts of the weekend for me.

Only saw wknd 1. Major disappointment though with the late start. I overheard parts of the wknd 2 performance and it sounded way better. That aside I'm officially over Justice which is sad because they were Top 3 with me back in 08.

What songs did they play the second weekend besides, "Stress," is there a setlist?

Imagine if for some reason Radiohead came out an hour and a half late and proceeded to play the first 30 minutes of their normal set (I know they switch out a few songs each time but you know what I'm saying) do you see how this is disappointing?

How exactly did they "KILL" it? They played the exact same set from Ultra, with no spectacular mixing or mashing...almost positive it was prerecorded anyway being synched with their lights (which were also lame) and I've listed the reasons I think that earlier in this thread and it makes complete sense

Most people weren't at Justice in the hope of seeing some fancy mixing or improvisation. They were there to see the songs they knew with a big light show, in that sense they delivered. I thought it was pretty vanilla but everyone around seemed to be enjoying it a lot

unless youve seen girl talk once before. seeing him twice is absolutely pointless given that he NEVER changes his set, seen him 3 times over the last 2 years and its always the same shit.
