Default Do the car camping passes really have to be tied with the original wristband?

I'm trying to purchase a camping pass from someone and do it the 'correct' way by swapping wristbands as well, but everyone is telling me that they don't really have to match up?
    Help please?

Im not 100% sure on this but I think its a matter of registering your wristband and camping pass together. I could be wrong though

There's no way to register a Camping pass. According to the official info, camping passes are not transferable but I haven't seen any reports of problems in this area so ...at your own risk.

Eeek, I'm so terrified of taking a risk and getting denied entry. Well, hopefully I'll just be able to find someone who's willing.

    1. They did not check to see if our car camping pass was attached to our wristband. In fact, I was the one who purchased the car camping and my boyfriend was the one in the car when they scanned it. I wasn't even around and they said nothing.
    2. Our friends used our car companion pass that supposedly had to be attached to the wristband. That was not a problem.
    3. I sold a tent camping pass on craigslist to a group of people who were really worried about whether or not it would work without an attached to wristband. They decided to take the risk and call me if they had trouble. I never heard from them so I assume it was cool.

I wouldn't worry about it!!! Think about the headache the venue would have had if they followed through.
