Stop going to festivals and clubs, see me at Staples instead. I'm from South OC bro, not a mormon.

He played an afterparty in Dallas last night that had absolutely ZERO commercial tracks in his set, I was pleasantly surprised
That's because it was an after party.
The after party for his LA show costs 70 bucks... I'm sorry but Kaskade is not worth 70 bucks.
From what I saw from the live stream Kaskade killed it at the Staples Center.
sub focus killed it, weekend 2 , even though he got cut off
^^^ Yup.... How many times do we need to see Kaskade playing Cascade haha
so many haters.
Coachella 2011 2012 and soon to be 2013
I saw him for the after party in SF. Not a single commercial or popular song by himself or any other DJ. 100% deep house set. It was nice.

I really wish I coulda gone to that and I'm glad he hasn't lost complete sight of good music.
Jeff Goldblum for main stage 2012.
2011 Perfectchella.
But clearly his deep house doesn't translate well in a festival/arena type venue. Same with Calvin Harris and I don't consider either of them to be "run-of-the-mill pop DJ's." Everyone has their opinions though, and I respect that.
They are the epitome of "run-of-the-mill pop DJ's". Good for Kaskade if he still plays deep house in smaller venues, but people know him for playing the same type of cheesy shit every other pop DJ plays. Remember when Calvin Harris actually performed live and played nu disco? No? No one else does either because all he is famous for is producing shitty music for pop singers.
And Calvin Harris made a conscious choice to go that route a while back... And in venues where he COULD get away with being more eclectic, he still chooses straight up generic cheese...
It's too bad.. I really liked the first two albums (well there were some stinkers on the second)... his live show was fun... and he was on a trajectory where he could have still been producing for pop stars while keeping his own little quirks... but instead decided to skip a couple years of work and just make super generic SHM sounding bullshit... Sure, he's laughing all the way to the bank... but I'll never have interest in seeing him again.
recently saw kaskade, he was amazing! im actually looking forward to seeing him again next year. his set up was incredible also
It's sad that once-respectable artists are lured to the dark ($$$) side now that this whole "edm craze" thing has been in full swing.
Funny how Kaskade doesn't play any of the songs off his last album, just mashes up the vocals with the flavor of the week commerical "banger".
Too bad he's a mormon and married.
He's hawt and could fuck any guy he wanted.
Oh, and LOVE MYSTERIOUS album is his best work
