Question Best 2012 Food Options (not in VIP)?

I plan on eating dinner each night in the festival (Weekend 2) so I'm hoping there will be some decent options. I've heard all the great things about Spicy Pie and I don't say no to pizza so there's one. I've also heard one of the vendors I was most looking forward to, The Gravy Train, and their poutine dishes will be in VIP out of my reach. What the fuck?

So what's good? Do you even remember what you ate? Or share your Coachella 2012 food story or pics. Whatever.

    For your health!

You need to hunt down the garlic fries. NOMS. they have fresh chopped garlic and parsley, def looking forward to it. I'm going weekend 2 also, so I can't confirm they will have them for sure, but i've gone the last three years and never NOT had them. YUM. Look for them near the Food row, i think the booth also has crab fries. honestly i would avoid anything especially heavy or filling unless you can share it, because every time I eat heavy food, like last year's delicious vegan chili quesadilla, i enjoyed it while eating but DIED due to heat. its not a good combo.

I think last year I had some shitty nachos and a stale soft pretzel. No time to eat.

Why don't you try and do the same thing with food as you do with Coachella. Buy something and eat it. if you don't like it, throw it away and get something else. Make suggestions to us rather than you sucking on our tits.
    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

That sounds like a meal. Toss in a chocolate chip cupcake and pancakes, and it's a date.

Hey dude, sometimes people need suggestions. Besides, Coachella food is expensive. But, OP, he is right in that the food is like the music, you can just walk away. And still, try the garlic fries.

You'd have to dig six feet under, sir. I'm not really a fan of wasting money or food so your suggestion doesn't really work for me. I'm also not that particular about food but I do enjoy a good meal so I'm interested to hear what other people enjoyed, if they care to share. I'll stay off your tits though.

    Better response to my suggestion:

Yeah, just throw away all the food you don't like, that's smart. In America, food tastes better when you pay $8 for it and then just toss it in the trash.

Just like Coachella, I’m willing to pay for an experience. We’re in America, right?

One day i had the Yakitori Noodles with teriyaki chicken, had some fresh broccoli, snow peas and carrots in it...thought it was pretty damn good, it was $9.

The vegan booth made a really good Strawberry/Banana/Apple juice smoothie that was very refreshing and not overly sweet.

If you're looking for something just fun and sweet go get the Chocolate covered ice cream sandwiched between a waffle, was yummy.

These are all great suggestions! Thanks! If they somehow had Hermosa Chicken sandos from Mickey's Deli there it would be an easy choice. But they're not, so it isn't.

BAG OF FRENCH FRIES....so worth the $8 and more than enough to share!
BLT Ranch wrap $9 was more than enough for me and very refreshing but filling at the same time. Who doesn't love bacon?!
The fresh organic strawberry banana smoothie was great with my slice of pizza.

Pink's Chili Dog in the beer garden by the ferris wheel
Vanilla shake and burger at the beer garden between main and outdoor
Tri-tip in the food court by the Heineken dome (a bit pricy though)
Agree on the bag of fries

Garlic fries with beer battered chicken is tops. Also, spicy pie slice is almost a must for coachella weekend.

It was in the middle of the upper section in the food pavilion area. Don't recall what it was next to.
