Thread: Best performance Day 1?

  1. #1

    Default Best performance Day 1?

What was the best and worst set you saw yesterday, either from actually being there or by juts watching the streams?

I saw 4 pretty amazing sets in a row, EMA -> James -> Gary Clark Jr -> Jimmy Cliff. 4 completely different styles of music, and all 4 just masterful. I don't know how to pick just one.

Pulp was amazing! Death Grips blew me away too. We tried to see M83 but the crowd was too huge for the Mojave.. and as someone else said, the crowd there was total "brochella"

i think the brochella award should go to the crowd for feed me. madeon was pretty overpacked, too. i guess i should just say the sahara in general.

uhh i stood for ema for a few minutes and the feedback issues they were having were too much for me.

decent. someone screamed for jarvis and then a bunch of people started mocking him, so it was kinda bro-y for a minute. but jarvis was funny... here's a grape.

M83 hands down. I didn't think the crowd was douche-y at all, but then I was in the middle of it.

    Pulp was also awesome.

The crowd for Pulp was smaller than I expected. My wife and I got there maybe 15 minutes before the show started and got a spot really close to the stage.
