What exactly is Day Parking?

I don't really know what day parking is, can someone explain?



Also, if the person driving the car doesn't have a wristband but I do an they're dropping me off, are they allowed to go to day parking section?

Day parking is where people park during the day (for realz.) It's used by people attending that are not camping onsite, but lots of people ride the shuttles now to avoid traffic issues. Your driver will not be able to enter the parking lot but there are places to drop people off - see maps http://www.coachella.com/travel-lodging/on-site-camping

It's about a 15min walk to the entrance if you don't stop to look at all the boobies along the way. Add another 10 min to the Sahara tent from there...factor in the boobies again.

Can you go back to your car and grab something or even take a half hour break with the AC running?

Day parking is a ways from the venue. There is no car check for day parking. They did not check wristbands as we drove in. You can come and go to day parking as often as you want. You just need to scan the wrist band and go through the bag check when you return from day parking.
