So any word on cancelled scalping orders?
That was a bullshit excuse to make customers feel like they were doing something. You can't legally take a product away from someone because they were attempting to resell it if that wasn't mentioned when they purchased. And if they canceled the tickets that were already scalped they're hurting the customer who bought it not the scalper.
I agree it's hard to make the determination of what is a scalper order and what's not but still
:'(
first of all they're probably trying to target the 100+ sets of tickets that went on stubhub within the first 1/2 hour of the sale. that's kind of a no-brainer. People were listing them while they were still be pulled and purchased from ticketfly.
EDIT: i mean, look at this. There's now 93 tickets up, STARTING at $269 PER ticket. Some asshole has 5 tickets for $10,000 each on there. http://www.stubhub.com/sigur-ros-tic...-2012-4075886/

Anyone who lists higher than the lowest available on StubHub is an idiot. Or in this case, a grand satirist.
I have to imagine that a good deal of those initial StubHub listings were presumptive tickets listings some of which were probably taken down after the scalpers were unsuccessful.
They don't have to take it down just because they don't have tickets in hand. For almost every show the prices right after a sell out are a peak point. Because you can set future tickets-in-hand dates, someone could sell tickets they don't possess, buy them later at a lower price, and then make a profit--less profit than if they secured tix when they went on sale, but still enough to be worth the extremely low effort. It's a gamble that I'm sure they lose at times but win more than any of us would like to know.

That would be incorrect! Initially tickets were selling for around $130, by the next day the prices were $200+. Anyone who sold at $130, left $280 on the table by not waiting a day.
By waiting you are waiting for prices to rise as supply shrinks. Also a client (ticket broker) told me, that due to unfilled orders on Stubhub, waiting often gives the biggest profit.
Yeah I guess if you want to sell your tickets fast (like me) the best way is to price just below the current lowest priced ticket. (This is for GA tickets, seating complicates things.)

Tickets have not been budging from the ridiculous 240 on Stubhub. This has now convinced me to just go to Outside Lands.

Not at all! I've been for movies, plus my boyfriend's son goes to school over there so for school events we have to street park and there is plenty of it. You may have to walk a couple of blocks but it's nothing major. I wouldn't pay $20 to park on site, ever.

Has anyone ever scalped tickets at Hollywood forever?
I can't believe people are paying $200/ticket to see this! I was really hoping to scoop up an extra ticket today for my bf, for around face but I'm getting discouraged.
edit: found one around face - $60. hooray!
Your're pointing out the person with the iPad, right?
