Both holes...I mean ends
You are quick.
The last time two times I saw Shadow I was not impressed. (Avalon for the hyphy show and with Cut Chemist at the Bowl) That said, I'm willing to give an old school pro half a chance. But I fear that the excitement and fun of the Brainfreeze will never be duplicated.
I know Modeselektor will be fun and potentially epic so I'll likely spend most or all of my time there. The guys have great taste and good production skills. I don't much care how they get the sounds to the speakers (even though I'm old and should respect vinyl and skills more), as long as they're tasty beats.
The last time Shadow played the polo fields HE was not impressed. I hope he'll be happy with a good tent slot and no noise bleed.
Tough call, try not to let your head explode.
shit!!! I CANT DECIDE!!! should i open with shadow or selektor? and who should close? shadow then mode or vice versa?

If I were to try and split the sets, which I still might, I would start with Modeselektor, and then see the last 30 or so minutes of Shadow.
5/25-5/27: MOVEMENT DETROIT
6/6: The Field @ The Independent
6/26: Colin Stetson @ The Chapel
Uhh. The Modeselektor Gloruption was cancelled, people. Dude throwing it is choosing Shadow.

I agree with Gue. It's set up for a nice sweep from Calvin Harris, Modeselektor, Shadow, Dre, and out. You'll probably even get a few tracks from Florence too.
This is NOT a decision I should have to make.
This is my conflict of the weekend. Fuuuuuuuuuuu. Last time I saw Shadow instead of Bjork, which was a shitty conflict in itself. But Shadow was amazing, so I was happy with my decision. Will probably end up compromising and splitting them.
I'll be splitting sets, the stages are close enough together for it to be a quick transition. But why the fuck isn't Modeselektor leading into DJ Shadow or vice versa? Would that have just made way too much sense?

Glowruption or no... I still want to hear Modeselektor drop some TTC.
Wish we could have seen Shadow's set, but Modeselektor's on the live stream looking fucking intense. Might have made up my mind for me. What did you all think?
Zach de la Rocha ftw!

Bjork - 6.2.13 @ Hollywood Palladium
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - 9.16.13 @ Rialto Theatre
Coachella - 4.11.14 - 4.13.14 @ Empire Polo Grounds
Watched 5 mins of the Modeselektor live stream and my mind was made up. Much respect to Shadow, but I'm gonna rage so hard to these guys before Dre/Snoop.
Weekend 2 people!!! Here weeee gooooooooooooooo
I'll be there this weekend. Weekend 1 people, what's the consensus?
Was Shadow's set full of recent stuff or a blast back to the "Entroducing" days? I used to love that album, but haven't even given him the time of day after he disappointed me with that horrendous "Outsider" album...
Modeselektor was the best EDM act all weekend for me.
