I was staying at Morongo (an Indian Casino near Coachella) years ago, and there was a rain storm with unbelievable, hurricane-like winds. I'm not saying that'll happen this weekend, but I do suggest you prepare for the worst.

I am not one to complain about new members and posting repetitive threads. But I must say it is really annoying. The 2 posts above me are still ok with it seeing as you are new members as well. You can still respond nicely and you don't find it redundant. After you spend more time on the boards it will get to you. Especially because the search button is really easy to use.

Since you can go in and out of the festival, I suggest you bring stuff just in case it's windy and / or rainy. Better to have and not need, than to need and not have.

could locally reduce visibility to near zero at times.

* Impacts... the winds will make driving difficult... especially for
motorists with high profile vehicles. Watch for broken tree
limbs and downed power lines.

* Outlook... periods of stronger and gusty west winds are expected
for late Thursday through early Saturday as a second low
pressure system moves slowly inland through Southern California.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult... especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
