First year to coachella and we are driving from Las Vegas - how long will it take? should we be expecting huge lineups if we drive up friday morning?

Along these lines, I am returning after a 6 year hiatus. What is the best route to Monroe? Other than straight south from 10. Seems like that would be a bad idea.

Since the traffic was so horrible in 2010 they did a much better job of allowing that not to happen last year. I wouldn't expect much traffic at all.

Exit earlier than Monroe and then drive down to Highway 111, then take that to the polo fields.

Edit: That is how you use the 111 by the way.

You can take Jefferson right off of the 10. No need to use 111 except to cross it.
