So I'm going to Coachella and camping for the first time and I'm bringing a friend. Apparently this friend of mine surprised me the other day by saying that she'll be bringing some weed to the fest. I'm in my mid 20's and NEVER smoked pot. If I'm gonna start what better place than Coachella right?

Weed is a mild drug; the majority of people doing it the first time don't feel much of anything. However I know a few people who've had adverse effects when they tried it, such as nausea, paranoia, and general discomfort. I tend to think these are likely related to pre-existing psychological issues, but who knows.

I'll probably get razzed for saying this, but my opinion is that a festival isn't the best place to try new drugs. I mostly mean other drugs when I say this, but everyone is different - even weed could put you in a state you don't want to be in... and at festivals you want to just have a good time and keep the energy levels up.

That being said, very high chances are that it would be a really great first experience doing it in an amazing setting that you won't forget, you'll have a great time, everything will sound better, food will taste better, your friends' dumb jokes will be funnier... weed is a great drug.

My daughter took her first hit Coachella 2010 to help with a hangover. (She was 20 at the time) We videoed the event for posterity! She said it was the best place for a first time:-)

I was SO SAD for him! I was worried he was going to keep lighting the bottom of the pipe and give up. Luckily he got a couple good hits and seemed happier afterward.

Take it slow and enjoy it. You dont have to be a king and puff the whole splif. One or two puffs and wait to see how you feel and move on from there. CHEERS

eat a big breakfast, get high, and eat a candy while you get high because your blood sugar tends to get low when you get high thus giving you a tired feeling, the candy will keep you going. other than that enjoy!
