It's a small farming community located just west of Indio. The Valley the festival in is known as the Coachella valley. The name is derived from the spanish word for "Seashell".

Coachella isn't as bad as people in Palm Springs and Cathedral City have made it out to be.
My band has played numerous times in Coachella and for the most part, it's always a good time out there.
