    Default My First Time

    Hi All,

Planning for my 1st trip to Coachella this year. Trying to find out more info so that I can be better prepared.

Will be arriving at LAX on Thursday 26 April. Need your advise on:

    1. Best way to get to the festival - Greyhound?

    2. What time does the first band usually start on the 1st day? - Wondering if I shld staying overnight in LA and get to Indio on Friday morning.

    3. How accessible is Empire Polo Fields from Indio Greyhound Bus station? Do I need to catch another ride there?

    4. Accommodation - Is camping a good idea for 1st-timers or only for the experienced?

Appreciate any advice you can offer. Thanks very much in advance!!

    1. If you don't drive Greyhound is the best way. Local transporation SUCKS. Cabs are super pricey and expect $30+ to get to the polo grounds. Renting a car from enterprise is cheap and parking is free at the festival+it won't take you 6+ hours to get to Indio.

    3. Yes, as mentioned in number one.
    4. Camping is great. Nothing against first timers. It's hot during the day and can get really chilly at night so be aware of the temperatures as well as sunblock. Also, you can get really cheap, but life saving tent fans on ebay for $10. They clip into your tent and will cool you down when it gets toasty.
If you want to stay in a hotel you need to book NOW. They're probably already sold out.

    I have attended every year.
