Are long sections of PVC pipe and shovels allowed in the grounds? Planning on erecting a canopy ish thing with a few poles, my car, and some tarp.

i don't think you can bring shovels. I recall a no-metal tools rule of some kind. pretty sure they don't want you digging anything, and even if you're not intending to, a shovel is a red flag

Please don't bring a shovel and dig holes. These are polo fields and we wouldn't want any of the horses getting hurt.

Otherwise, PVC pipes are allowed and you can construct something. There are entire threads dedicated to shade/cannopies. You should try the search.

My buddy was worried about the shovel thing because he has a high jack, ax and shovel locked onto his roof rack of his jeep.

Should I tell him to keep them at home? He doesn't like leaving stuff like that.

    Paging Marooko...
    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.
