Church?

So this is my first time, and I was wondering if anybody gets up early to go to church on Sunday?

I'm car camping, so I can't really drive out, but are there taxis / shuttles available Sunday morning that go to churches in town? Anyone know how much that would cost?

As far as I know, there are no shuttles that go directly to churches in the area. I do know that there are several churches in the nearby towns, and you could research on google maps to see which ones are closest to the drop-off points of the supermarket shuttles etc. But why not enjoy the coachella community? Make another thread, setting up a meeting time and place or just gather your neighbors and have a prayer/worship session yourselves. Lots of coachella goers bring musical instruments to the campgrounds, and if you bring your Bible you can all worship and read the Scripture together. I personally am not Christian, so all I ask is that out of respect for other faiths you remain respectful of boundaries. Otherwise, worship on the Polo fields!

Although you are going to be a major minority @ Coachella, think it would be cooler if you had your own service, there is likely at least 1 priest or something going. Maybe not your denomination, but still DIY! I won't be attending though.

Forgive all the atheist baby killers on here. You could easily be looking at $20 or so each way for a taxi depending on what kind of church you want to go to. Maybe post a special request on Rickyrides or craigslist. Good luck.

a church is anyplace where two or more believers are gathered together. Just find another person to pray with or read scripture or sing hymns or whatever. You don't need a building.

I actually think this is a very good suggestion, and one the OP should really consider if s/he is serious about worshiping on Sunday. I'm not trying to conflate the two, but I think people in AA have done something similar in terms of meeting up in the campgrounds at a specific date/time over the weekend, so I don't see why a campground worship service wouldn't work if there are people interested.

Thanks for the input. I am Catholic, but I am considering hosting a general Christian Sunday service on the campgrounds. I just wanted to see if anyone knew of one existing or was interested. So far it looks like not...

So are there any Christians out there who want to pray together on Sunday? Or Catholics that want to split a ride to church?

S-a-turday is a s-p-ecial day, it's the day we get ready for S-u-nday. We clean the house, and we shop at the store, So we won't have to work until Monday.
