Who are you most excited for on Sunday?

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like Sunday doesn't have a whole lot to look forward to. Sure, Dre and Snoop will probably put on a good show (not really my genre though), and girl talk is always fun (though I have a certain distaste for mashups), but there isn't any one band that I cannot miss.

The few acts I am looking forward to are: Real Estate, Metronomy, and a far 3rd and 4th would be Beirut and the Weeknd.

It could easily just be my lack of knowledge of most of the Sunday bands, anyone care to shed some light?

At the Drive In! That's gonna be a pretty intense set, I bet. If you like any kind of heavy music with guitars and/or songs that sound really emotional but are actually about abstract nonsense topics like switches on fences, you'll have a good go.
Thundercat should do something pretty respectable, and might be joined by Flying Lotus.
Modeselektor could go either way, but in the absence of quality bass music at Coachella this year, I'm looking to them for something interesting on Sunday.

I wanna like Wild Flag but I just can't get into it. Too peppy / makes me miss Sleater-Kinney. I would rather just listen to Carrie Brownstein riff on funny shit with her friends and say cute awkward things.

I'll try to listen to At the Drive In, see if I can handle it haha. I've checked out Wild Flag before, and they're not bad, pretty catchy, could be a fun show.

Anybody have some Gotye songs to recommend (besides somebody I used to know)?

I was also listening to some Wild Beasts, and they aren't bad. Not fantastic, but could make for a decent early afternoon show.

weird, because sunday is by far the most loaded day for me. justice, dj shadow, modeselektor, the weeknd, nero, porter robinson, gotye, noisia, probably something else i'm forgetting.

I didn't like Wild Beasts until my girlfriend was like "this guy kinda sounds like Antony" and then I listened to them with that in mind. The instrumentation and production on the newest album are awesome. Dude's voice is hard for me to take, but I'll keep trying. Maybe it will be an acquired taste. I don't know if I could handle a hot, early afternoon set of that, though.

And yeah, duh, the WEEKND. How could I leave that out? That might be the band I'm most excited to see this year, Radiohead fanboy-dom not withstanding

Araabmuzik is great in my car, but his live show left me kinda flat.
I was really excited to see him in Chicago, but he played for way too long. I have a pretty long attention span, but I can't get into a dude doing the same thing on an MPC for over an hour. Maybe a (shorter) Coach set will be more inspired...
And yeah, CoFlow might be pretty awesome, as long as they have him mic'd/mixed well and you can understand what he's saying. I'm a huge hip hop fan, but after going to over a ton of shows with dudes yelling into mics with all their friends on stage yelling along, I kinda gave up on live hip hop.

Agree with you about Sunday, except for The Hives (so fun) and maybe Justice. This probably will be my Sahara day, though everyone in that tent will be a zombie by that point.

Sunday is the strangest day. I think you'll either want to see everything or nothing. For me, the Dre/Justice/The Weeknd/At the Drive In/DJ Shadow juggernaut is going to be brutal, and while I could miss him, I think Girl Talk will be an absolute party and I'd like to see him if nothing else conflicts. But if your tastes skew introspective or avant-garge, there are literally no names in the first four lines that would appeal to you. This is definitely a day that favors those who like hip-hop, electronic music, or music with an edge. I couldn't be more excited for Sunday, this could easily be my favorite day of Coachella ever, but I also feel like it will be a disappointing end to the weekend for many.

I like "Thanks For Your Time", "Eyes Wide Open", and "Bronte" but I have not listened to an extensive amount of his music, just watched a few videos on youtube. His videos are awesome, though.


Other than those two, I'm also very excited for Florence + the Machine, Justice, the Hives and Band of Skulls.
