3. Ear Protection: Disposable foam plugs (bring extras to share with the unenlightened) or Etymotic Research ER20 Hearing Protection Earplugs

4. Sun Protection: Sweatproof sports sunscreen lotions and sprays, aloe vera gel for sunburns, chapstick with SPF, sun hat, UV protective sunglasses, Supergoop SPF 30 Sunscreen Swipes for Sensitive Skin

5. Emergency Cures: Neosporin, bandaids, allergy medicine or antihistamine, Neti Pot for naturally clearing out stuffed noses, Emergen-C, pain killers for headaches and hangovers

6. Porta-potty supplies: Toilet paper, Urinelle or P-Mate for the ladies to pee standing up, hand sanitizer, baby wipes

7. Clothing for Day and Night: Cool, comfortable, breathable clothing (lighter colors and natural fibers are better), comfortable shoes that you can walk around in for hours without pain, closed-toe shoes for walking around at night and being in crowds, a sweater or cover-up for when it gets chilly at night, underwear, socks, pajamas, bathing suit

8. Chafing Prevention: This is for both ladies and men -- Body Glide, Monistat Soothing Care Chafing Relief Powder-Gel, Gold Bond, Under Armour shorts

9. The Obvious Stuff: Wristbands, print-out of original ticket order just in case, camping decal if you're camping, print-out of set times, camera, phone, chargers, photo ID, atm card, credit card, cash money, watch in case your phone dies, locker order confirmation print-out if you purchased a locker from Lou, sharpie for circling set times and getting autographs and writing down phone numbers because you're a player

(10, 11 & 12 are mostly camper-centric tips and may not apply if you are staying at a hotel or condo)

Camping Gear: Tent, extra tent stakes, solar charger, sleeping bag, pillow, inflatable mattress or folding cot, camping chair, EZ-up canopy for keeping you cool in the mornings, tent fan, flashlight, headlamp for walking around camp at night, string lights for decorating your tent, Dr. Bronner's 18-In-1 Soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, prescription medications, hairbrush, hair ties if you have long hair, DON'T FORGET YOUR TOWEL, flip flops for protecting your feet in the showers

A couple of good tips that are on various threads but I'll mention again for the benefit of all...

For the guys, I have a morning ritual of Aquaphor on the inside of the thighs if you're prone to chafing. I also wear boxer briefs to help eliminate any trouble down there. A few years prior to this practice I'd be in so much fucking pain by Sunday I was walking bowlegged. Courtney covered this off but thought I'd add my personal alternative.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer sunblock for your face is awesome. Buy it at Costco. Spray sunblock also is good but after my girlfriend got it in her eyes last year on Friday (and ruined her whole day), I'm hesitant to use it on my upper half of my body.

Wipes are your friend. If you're camping you can take a "wipe shower" in the PM before going to bed or in the AM if you're in a pinch and the shower line is too long. Get a couple of boxes of those badboys (never seen the action wipes, but those look awesome too!). The Cottonelle single wipes are great for the portapotties (or super secret trailer) if you have to do the unpleasant task of dropping a deuce. Funny story, last year some guy was in the trailer next to me and said "I'd kill for a wipe right about now" and I shared a couple. You'd think I gave him a million dollars.

If you're camping and you don't have a canopy, don't prepare to sleep too long unless you have cloud cover (not gonna happen). It gets hot and my canopy was fuggin' the best. A tent fan is also a nice thing to have.

Coconut water - if you subscribe to the whole coconut water thing, it has a lot of potassium/electrolytes without all of the fucking sugar and salt of Gatorade. A little pricey but worth it IMHO. Or, if you're a dumbass like me, you'll cut it into your cocktails to make yourself believe it's gonna help keep you hydrated (which it's not).

Not sure if it's mentioned in another thread, but the Panasonic Lumix came highly rated because of their ability to shoot HD video. Or whatever kind Suprefan uses, because holy shit that kid takes some nice pictures with a P&S.

while for camping it is absolutely essential, there's zero reason not to bring one regardless of your sleeping situation. i've brought the same towel (yes i wash it dummies) every year to coachella and it's been a pillow, a head wrap, a scarf/neck cooler, a bag, a picnic blanket, a sunscreen, and probably about a dozen other things.

I have no secrets, I just accept it as part of my Coachella day. The stinging lasts for 30 seconds, then I move on. Cancer free.

Bodyglide is nice but not perfect. Spandex shorts help but are not a cureall. Only through the miracle of Gold Bond can you be assured of a relatively pain free weekend in your crotchal area.

I've never had the sunscreen in your eyes problem at Coachella. I use the Neutrogena SPF 100 (My Dermatologist recommended it) for the face. No dripping or oily/sticky feeling ever. I always have a bandana handy as well.
