Camping Question

So, my girlfriend and I are planing to drive down Wednesday so we can be there early Thursday morning to get in the good lots for camping and such, but this is our first Coachella and what I'm wondering is, If we get there early thursday to get a spot, will we have to be there all day with our stuff and the spot, or could we go and see other things in the Palm Springs area?

you want to set up camp and then drive 2 hours back to san diego just for shits and giggles? there will be plenty to do at the campsite.

and no, you can't unless you have a second car in companion parking. once you are parked in car camping you are there until you decide to leave. you cannot come and go.

if you're driving you cant drive your car out of car camping until you're leaving for good. there are no driving ins/outs. tent camping parking is either no ins.outs or only 2am-10am so either way... Also san diego is not near palm springs at all. just sayin

I have 2 cars and a bunch of friends in a condo in Palm Springs who were to much of pussies to camp. Just thought I'd ask if id be able to go see friends from College's down there. And you're right, San Diego is too far. Thanks for the information though.

Do Palm Springs area on Wednesday, maybe stay overnight, then in the morning head for Indio, it's only 20 min or so. And it's true once your there (at campsite) you won't want to leave.

My girlfriend and I bought 2 GA tickets and 1 car camping pass.

My friend and his girlfriend did the same.

They are not going to be able to come and will be selling their tickets. We still want to use their camping pass though because we need the room. Would I be able to switch one of our wristbands with theirs so we end up with both car camping passes and a wristband attached to each order? Are the car camping passes linked with a particular wristband or is it just one from the order?
