i dont think sunday can handle anymore artists, especially in the catagory of coheadliners unless Happy Mondays cancel. plus i dont see why all the hating on willie.

When I saw WIllie and Dylan a few years ago, Willie blew away Dylan. I think Willie makes perfect sense.

As for being a placeholder, I think of all the second-liners, the Arctic Monkeys would be the placeholders, not Willie.

Yeah, but he gets the best pot and has history so let him play. I remember reading somewhere that The Secret Machines saw him live at Austin City Limits and they said he was absolutly amazing. What do we know of his live shows anyways? Give the hick a chance I say!!!

I was involved with booking him as part of a summer series, and while he was the nicest performer of the summer to deal with, his stage show was boring, and he couln't sing a lick, or play all that well. And while I have respect for him, this just seems like a strange Coachella match.

I don't think GV has never put a "placeholder" on a poster before. That sounds kind of shady, honestly. But then again they deliberately fooled people into thinking The Police were playing this year, so I guess anything's possible.

"Kinda" shady? if GV knowingly placed an artist on a poster that they knew wasn't going to perform, that would be fraud. not "kinda fraudulent" but rather actual fraud as defined by law. GV would never do that.
