Osheaga 2012

Anyone else thinking of heading to Montreal this year? I went last year and it was a blast. Such a beautiful place to hold a festival, and Montreal is such a great city.

Being held August 3-5th, same weekend as Lollapalooza, so I'm assuming there will be a lot of crossover.

The Black Keys, M83, Justice, The Shins and Florence and the Machine are already confirmed. Full lineup comes out Tuesday!

I went in 2010 and had a blast. It was pretty special getting to see Arcade Fire headlining a hometown show.

This really is a great festival. I'm either doing this or Lolla this year, and I would rather do Osheaga, but it's all line up dependent. Young the Giant is also confirmed.

Don't get me wrong, this is nice, but still. It's funny because yesterday I was debating this year's festies with someone and I said "one of the best things about this year is that MGMT has finally retreated."

Yea maybe if Broken Social Scene was on the line up, this would look little bit more interesting. But other than Sigur Ros, Amadou & Mariam and Little Dragon, I wouldn't go out of my way to see any of the other artists even if they're touring on their own...

Actually, their popularity has been on the rise the last few years. So long as the new album doesn't disappoint, it will continue to do so.
