New LCD Soundsystem album

Wow. I wasn't a particularly big fan of their first album as a whole, but some of the songs were addictive. However, Sound of Silver has definitely taken the crown from Neon Bible for album of the year and if anything else comes out this year that's better, we're in for a happy year.

Favorite track is "All My Friends." That piano riff is just as frantic and beautiful as anyone can hope for.

I've never seen them live before, but I'm really looking forward to seeing them now (I just hope they're not up against Ghostface).

What does everyone else think?

Sound of Silver, IMO, is killer. The 3 song combo of North American Scum, Someone Great and All My Friends is amazing. New York I Love You is awesome as well, though it could hold a special place for my favorite city.

Seriously, this album makes me want to DJ even though I've tried and suck at it.

I missed Cloud9. His words were always so kind and they contained so much wisdom. Maybe the keys on his keyboard are too small.

Much better than the debut. James Murphy has finally put out something that can match up next to all those great dfa remixes. much better than the new rapture might I add.

I really dig it, more of a lounge vibe compared to teh self-titled, i was a little suprised by how laid back the entire vibe of the album is, but actually for album of teh year i would the panda bear beats both sound of silver and neon bible, I wasn't even expecting to like to much, but I guess anybody related to animal collective can be expected to suprise

I bought Sound of Silver, and I enjoy it, but comparing it with Neon Bible doesn't make that much sense to me........

I like Hissing Fauna, Are you the Destroyer? more than either of them anyways.......

This album has hurt my quest to hear all the coachella act before the show...cant stop listening to it.....help
