Started listening to Long 3 today. That Joanna Newsom track is an odd one from her,so used to her in short little doses.

I really love Volume 3,particularly the Hendrix track.I sometimes forget how truly great he was,it's like he comes on and something in my brain suddenly clicks and goes,"this is what it's supposed to sound like."No wonder the Boomers always were so smug about the 60's stuff, most of it was pretty goddamn earthshaking.
    EDIT
and also listened to Mix 1,but somehow fucked up in burning to Cd,so it skips during Boredoms and Sister Ray,love the Spiritualized track, tho',and the mixing is perfect as usual.

I enjoyed Long Songs Vol 1. I was enjoying Vol 2 until that Godspeed You Black Emperor song came on, which I found about as interesting as a high school yearbook poem, so I turned it off.

Oh, fuck yeah! Thanks holmes! I'm getting number seven right now. trak one is the cramps...sounds good to me.

my halloween cramps song would be "the garbage man" because of that badass chainsaw or "teenage warewolf" because of the warewolf. But my favorite halloween song would be "Gary Gilmore's Eyes" by the adverts because it is suppose to be about some murderer who donated his eyes to science.

"Gary don't need his eyes to see,Gary and his eyes have parted companeeeeee....."
I'm very aware of that song,I own the 45 and had it on my jukebox for many years,a real crowd pleaser that one! Also "Homicide" by 999,they sort of go together.
And if you ever want to read an excellent book, get "The Executioner's Song" by Norman Mailer,it's all about Gilmore. It's a lot like "In Cold Blood".

I realized my servers have restrictions on uploading, so does anyone else have those three short songs that I contributed that they wouldn't mind sending to buddy?

The Long Songs Mix was a good listen, but then again, I was already familiar with at least half of the songs on there. I have an instinctive love for long songs.

The Instrumentals Mix has a lot of weird file formats and shit. I'm sure it's easy enough to convert them though. And whoever put that k-os song on there didn't really understand the concept.

I was worried about Transcodes so I didn't touch it to much in that way. Yeah that mix was a bitch.

It was a good listen. That Dave Brubeck track made me realize jazz isn't quite as incomprehensible to me as I sometimes think it is.
