Six pm and all is calm. A few mild gusts but not much more. A few people from the camping staff came by to remind us to stake down our tents. Have some corkscrew stakes on the ez-up canopy. Should be an interesting night.

No need to worry about the wind until midnight.

On Sunday of Lollapalooza 2011 it rained as hard as I've ever seen it rain anywhere in my entire life. People literally couldn't walk because it was raining so hard. My girlfriend and I withstood it, and while they did suspend some acts for a little while, we had a great time anyway and it just added to the experience. So a little rain out in Indio is not a big deal for you guys, you'll be fine.
My group's choice of going Weekend 2 is starting to look like a good decision.

I will take a brief, cool shower over 95 degree weather any fucking day. The winds, while annoying are just that for me at this point. We get shit like this in Colorado here and there and you just deal. Barring a stage malfunction of course. And half an inch of rain is a non-issue. Three stages are tented, after all. I'm kind of looking forward to it. Refused urging a windstorm will be epic.
We're about to drive down from the Bay Area. The rain is coming down in buckets with high winds and lightning. I just checked Accuweather and this is what is moving south. We just packed the ponchos and put an extra layer of waterproofing on the hiking boots.

Weekend 2 4 ever.
I have to admit that even though I will be getting the heat in weekend 2, a nice cool start to the weekend seems refreshing.
You haven't admitted anything yet.
No wind in Palm Springs yet. Cloudy, but lots of blue sky, too.
hell ya right now is 60 degrees and today is gonna be in the 75s perfect start for coachella!
As I said....rain is unlikely....it just has a hard time getting over the mountain....and when it does it typically passes north of Indio/Coachella.
wind is the only issue. Last night was medium.....and that should be the worst of it.
Looks like clear weather here forth - maybe some wind tonight...but shouldn't be too bad.
Weather report on iPhone had 50% chance of rain now at 30%....which means 5% chance at the polo fields....(damn if you read all my posts here...I'm a freakin genius)
Looks like
DIALEDINCOACHELLA
and by said I mean side... say something twerps.
This thread will now only accept weather reports from iPhones.
Beautiful in Rancho Mirage, although I think the main wind event is due later this afternoon/evening.
